Vitamin D

Traditionally Vitamin D is said to be essential for healthy,strong bones because it helps the body use calcium from the diet. Recently however, the importance of the sunshine vitamin in protecting against a variety of health problems has been revealed.

Around one in 5 adults have a lack of vitamin d throughtout the year but severe deficiency is much rarer and can result in a lot of different symptoms. Low levels have for example been linked to cancer, multiple sclerosis and heart dissease.
